For real-time control of Poppy (like a puppet), I need a “solid” interface. I named it the “cockpit” since its purpose is to command Poppy without watching my hands. A tactile interface is then not possible.
I am doing my own cockpit with arduino UNO card, multiplexer ADG608 (hidden below the wires) and up to 64 (8 arduino inputs*8 inputs for each multiplexer) potentiometers inserted on board for re-design.
At the beginning, this cockpit was for control purpose but I realised it is very useful for testing and tuning purpose.
It is not very beautiful for the moment but I still imagine a lot of haptic evolutions.
