General Explanation of Poppy Electronic System

Hello everybody,

I’m a starter in Poppy project and I have some issues and questions about how the whole electronic system is composed and how it works. I know that you’re in an development phase releasing 1.0 Poppy version, and that you’re kind of changing and improving some parts of the control system, but it’ll be great if you give us a explanation of how this works, how does everything is connected and communicating, how to test it or to be sure that we’re doing things in the right way, maybe a list of components specifically of the electronic matters and their characteristics, etc. I believe this kind of specific information would help a lot of people who are not electronics experts and want to understand, learn and begin to experiment using the Poppy Project.

I realize that you took the USB HUB, the Arduino Due and the USB2AX and put them in the same PCB (such an amazing job, if you ask me). Can you go deep on this process, I mean, explain a little more? Did you do this due to the small space available inside of Poppy’s head, does it has a special advantage or it was just because?

You guys are doing a marvellous work with Poppy Project. It’s a wonderful idea and I thing this will become bigger and bigger. Thanks for everything and sorry about my dumb questions.
