I’ve start to print Poppy on a Makerbot Replicator 2X : foot, hand and arm.
The experience is done in the Pau’s FabLab (mips).
Printing the Poppy’s hand
I’m like in a clinic waiting for a new born child so you can find lot of pictures in this link
To do the job, I’ve tried experiences on temperatures, speed and technics :
- the foot and the hand were printed with tips at 210° Celsius and the plateau at 110, the speed is slowed down to half speed ;
- the hand was printed with the default temperature and a speed a little bit higher (3/4 the default value) but I used a UHU stick glue on the plateau to prevent the plastic does come off.
The ABS plastic is a little bit tricky to clean-up when he is cold.
